AMEC PLC (AMEC.LN), an international engineering and project management company, said Wednesday that it has acquired BCI Engineers and Scientists, Inc. (BCI), a Florida-based consulting firm focused on the water and mining sectors, from its owner-managers for a total cash consideration of $20 million.

MAIN FACTS:

-Of the total cash consideration of $20 million, $15 million was paid at closing, with the balance to be paid over the next two years, subject to performance.

-Shares closed Monday at GBP12.51, valuing the company at GBP4.15 billion.
