                   Addworth Plc ("Addworth" or the "Company")

                       Investment in Alpha Prospects Plc


Addworth, the AIM listed 'active capital investor' announces that it has taken a
6.07% investment in Alpha Prospects Plc ("Alpha Prospects"), which was formed to
acquire and invest in companies in the independent travel sector with a focus on
the online market.  Alpha Prospects commenced trading on the PLUS-quoted market
on Friday, 18 January 2008.

Alpha Prospects raised �731,910 ahead of its PLUS-listing, facilitated by Early
Equity Plc in which Addworth has a 30.43% stake.  Trading began at a price of 3p
per share giving Alpha Prospects a market capitalisation of �2.47 million.

Alpha Prospects intends to develop its business via selective acquisitions and
subsequent organic growth in order to create sustainable capital value for
shareholders.

The Board of Alpha Prospects is comprised of: Chairman, Steven Freudmann, a
current director and former Chairman of the Association of British Travel
Agents; Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Foster, a former executive director
of Chase Corporation plc, and; Non-Executive Director, Rob Painting, a director
of GSH Group plc, Addworth plc and Early Equity plc.

While Alpha Prospects currently has not yet made an investment, the directors of
Alpha Prospects have identified several potential investments that they consider
worthy of further investigation.
