Notice of Annual General Meeting and Publication of Annual Report

The Company's Annual General Meeting will be held on 19 September 2012 at 09:00 hours at the offices of Hogan Lovells International LLP, Atlantic House, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2FG.

The Company's Annual Report and Accounts and the Notice of Annual General Meeting have been mailed to those shareholders who have directed to receive paper communications. The 2012 Annual Report and Accounts are also available on the Company's website www.aeat.com.

Copies of the above documents will shortly be uploaded to the National Storage Mechanism and will be available for viewing at www.hemscott.com/nsm.do

The AEA Group's full year results announcement included:

   --    a set of condensed financial statements;

-- a fair review of the development and performance of the business and the position of the Group; and

   --    a description of the principal risks and uncertainties that it faces.

As is required by Rule 6.3.5(2)(b) of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules the additional information set out below is extracted from AEA's Annual Report and Accounts.

DIRECTORS' RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT (page 24)

Each of the Directors, whose names and functions are listed in the Board of Directors section of the Annual Report and Accounts, confirms that, to the best of his knowledge:

-- The Financial Statements, which have been prepared in accordance with IFRs as adopted by the EU, give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities, financial position and profit or loss of the Company and the Group; and

-- The Directors' Report contained in the Annual Report and Accounts includes a fair review of the development and performance of the business and the position of the Company and the Group, together with a description of the principal risks and uncertainties that they face.
