Corporation ("Alleghany") (NYSE: Y) today announced that it has
priced its public offering of $500
million of 3.625% Senior Notes due 2030 (the "Senior
Notes"). The Senior Notes were priced at 99.867% of par.
BMO Capital Markets Corp., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, U.S.
Bancorp Investments, Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC are
acting as joint book-running managers for the Senior Notes
offering, which is expected to close on May
18, 2020, subject to customary closing conditions. Alleghany
intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of Senior Notes for
general corporate purposes, which may include the repayment of
existing debt.
The Senior Notes will be issued pursuant to an effective shelf
registration statement and prospectus supplement filed with the
