Intermec Technologies has opened a service center in Shanghai, China to provide local language support and repair services for Intermec handheld devices, printers and other products. The center streamlines customer service and reduces costs for Intermec customers in China. The Shanghai service center eliminates many of the customs fees to ship product in and out of China and reduces repair turnaround time from six weeks to just days. Through the new center, Intermec maintains an in-country service inventory in China and offers maintenance contracts for fast, affordable service on demand. Intermec customers across China will now receive service consistent with the standards enjoyed by enterprises in the Americas and EMEA.
