TE Connectivity Ltd.'s guidance for second-quarter sales and adjusted profit suggests a stronger performance in the period than analysts had been forecasting.

The company on Wednesday said it expects net sales of about $3.5 billion in the quarter, including a mid-single-digit percentage increase in organic sales year over year. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had been forecasting second-quarter revenue of $3.34 billion.

The Switzerland-based maker of connectivity and sensor technology said it expects a rise in adjusted profit in the second quarter to about $1.47 a share. Analysts were expecting second-quarter adjusted profit of $1.33 a share.
