Activision Blizzard Inc. (ATVI) said Wednesday it appointed several leadership positions in its operating units.

The interactive entertainment company named Call of Duty Executive Vice President and General Manager Rob Kostich to be president of Activision. Mr. Kostich has led the company's Call of Duty franchise for the past 10 years.

Activision named Humam Sakhnini president of King Digital Entertainment. Mr. Sakhnini most recently was chief financial officer and chief strategy officer of King, a role he has held since April 2016.

The company named Dennis Durkin president of Activision's Emerging Businesses, in addition to his role as chief financial officer of the company. Mr. Durkin, who had been serving as Activision's chief corporate officer, was named last week to take over as financial chief.

Activision Blizzard said in a securities filing last week it put Chief Financial Officer Spencer Neumann on paid leave and intends to fire him. Mr. Neumann was named Netflix Inc.'s (NFLX) new finance chief on Jan. 2.

The company said J. Allen Brack continues to serve as president of Blizzard Entertainment.

Shares were up 1.24% to $50.59 premarket.
