Unilever PLC (ULVR.LN) said Thursday that Chief Executive Paul
Polman has decided to retire after 10 years at the helm and will
step down from leading the company on Jan. 1.
The Anglo-Dutch consumer goods company said Mr. Polman will be
replaced by Alan Jope, currently president of Unilever's beauty and
personal-care division.
Mr. Polman will support the transition period during the first
half of 2019, and leave the company in early July, Unilever
said.
A successor for Mr. Jope in the beauty and personal-care
division will be announced shortly.
