Foust, President of Monument Resources, Inc. announced today the appointment of Jim Benner as VP of Operations, Corporate Secretary, and member of the board of directors. Mr. Benner, age 59, was an employee and later General Manager and President of North American Resources Company (NARCO), an oil and gas subsidiary of The Montana Power Company. Subsequently he was VP of Operations of PanCanadian, a large independent oil and gas producer that acquired NARCO. Most recently he was a VP of EnCana Corporation, another large independent oil and gas producer with worldwide operations that was formed through the merger of PanCanadian and Alberta Energy. Until joining Monument Resources, he was involved in a number of charitable and personal business activities. Mr. Benner holds a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology. Monument Resources is a publicly traded oil and gas company with operations in NE Kansas. Monument is focused on developing conventional and non-conventional shallow gas reserves in the emerging Forest City Basin coal bed methane resource play.
