Photo Release-U.S. Senator Blumenthal Expresses Industry Support in Visit to FuelCell Energy
February 21 2018 - 5:28PM
FuelCell Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq:FCEL), a global leader in delivering
clean, innovative and affordable fuel cell solutions for the
supply, recovery and storage of energy, today announced a recent
visit by United States Senator Richard Blumenthal to the Company’s
North American manufacturing facility in Torrington, CT, where he
expressed his continued support for the fuel cell industry which
creates jobs, clean energy and freedom from foreign oil.
Senator Blumenthal worked tirelessly to champion the
reinstatement of the Investment Tax Credit for the fuel cell
industry, to provide parity to foreign manufactured technologies,
and to demonstrate support for home-grown American innovation and
manufacturing. The reinstatement of the Investment Tax
Credit, beyond its expiration date of December 31, 2016, not only
fosters domestic job creation but also aids in improving the
environment and enhancing the resiliency of the energy
supply. American fuel cell manufacturing provides efficient,
affordable and clean solutions for the supply, recovery and storage
of energy.
“The extension of the Investment Tax Credit for fuel cells is a
major victory for Connecticut jobs and clean energy,” said Senator
Richard Blumenthal. “These incentives will allow companies such as
FuelCell Energy to continue innovating and developing clean and
efficient energy technology that will have a longstanding impact on
both our economy and our environment.”
“We thank Senator Blumenthal for visiting our facility today
where we produce clean, efficient, reliable fuel cells that are
deployed globally,” said Tony Rauseo, Chief Operating Officer,
FuelCell Energy, Inc. “This legislation is a smart investment for
America’s economy, environment and energy reliability, which will
drive innovation and increase manufacturing.”
