International stocks trading in New York closed lower Friday.

The BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 0.5% to 153.13. The European index fell 0.2% to 141.51. The Asian index fell 1% to 179.18. The Latin American index fell 1.1% to 267.1, and the emerging-markets index fell 1.5% to 331.32.

Tata Motors (TTM) and Infosys Ltd. (INFY) were among those with ADRs that traded actively.

 

Infosys Ltd. announced results for its latest year and quarter, saying that Q4 revenue grew year-on-year by 9.2%. ADRs fell 7.7% to $16.62.

 

Jaguar Land Rover is cutting 1,000 temporary jobs at its U.K. car plants due to declining demand for new cars after the U.K.'s vote to leave the EU, according to a report. The company, owned by India's Tata Motors, won't be renewing the temporary contracts of 1,000 agency staff at its plant in Solihull near Birmingham, ITV News reported. Tata Motors LTD saw ADRs fall 1.7% to $26.72

 

Companhia Paranaense de Energia - Copel (ELP), a company that generates and sells power, announces results for its fourth quarter. The company reported adjusted EBITDA growth of 5.1% compared to the year before. ADRs fell 4.5% to $7.40.
