Pound Falls Ahead Of U.K. Retail Sales

(RTTNews) - The Office for National Statistics will release U.K. retail sales for December at 4:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the pound dropped against its major counterparts.
The pound was worth 1.2936 against the greenback, 141.70 against the yen, 0.8812 against the euro and 1.2859 against the franc as of 4:25 am ET.
