PITTSBURGH, March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Two inventors
from Trinidad have developed the
FLANGE CHEK PRO, a runout inspection tool for industrial pipe
flanges. A prototype is available, and there is a patent
pending.
"Standard flange facing tools are very expensive, heavy, bulky
and cumbersome to use. The tool we invented is inexpensive,
lightweight and more advanced. It also requires less manual labor
than standard tools," said the inventors.
The FLANGE CHEK PRO provides a means of determining the
condition of large flanges to decide whether facing is required. It
eliminates the need to automatically deploy a flange re-facing
machine for each flanged connection. This tool represents a
fraction of the weight in contrast to that of standard flange
facing machines. Its lightweight and portable design allows it to
be installed by two people.
The original design was submitted to the Toronto office of InventHelp. It is currently
patent pending and available for licensing or sale to manufacturers
or marketers. For more information, write Dept. 16-TOR-9888,
