LOS ANGELES, Dec. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/
-- On Saturday, December 9,
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
Children's Institute, Inc. (CII)—one of the largest children's
services organizations in Southern
California —will host its 23rd Annual Winter Family Festival
for more than 1,500 local children whose lives have been impacted
by family and community violence, poverty and trauma. The event
will take place at CII's Otis Booth
Campus, located at 2121 W. Temple Street, just west of
Downtown Los Angeles.
The children and families who attend the event all take part in
CII's specialized programs, which are designed to help children
recover from trauma, build resilience to deal with adversity and
become ready for success in school, work and life. For many of
these families, the CII Winter Family Festival is the only
celebration they will experience during the holiday season.
Representatives from the offices of Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los
Angeles County Supervisor Hilda
Solis and City Attorney Mike
Feuer will be joining the day's festivities.
CII's 2017 Winter Festival will include a toy giveaway, holiday
entertainment, arts and crafts, and more. Special thanks to this
year's Winter Festival sponsors for their generous support: Mattel,
Hornburg Jaguar/Land Rover, Los
Angeles magazine, City National Bank, O'Melveny &
Myers LLP, Good + Foundation, Savills Studley, and CII
support groups The Colleagues, Les
Amies, and The C.H.I.P.S.
In addition, CII thanks all the individual and in-kind donors,
as well as corporate volunteers, for helping to make this event
possible: El Pollo Loco, Greg Huebner Photography,

Insurance, Dancing Squirrel Productions, Shelter Partnership,
