"Aurora," shot in High Definition (HD) at Telemundo Studios in
Miami, boasts a stellar cast including Sara Maldonado, Eugenio
Siller, Jorge Luis Pila, Aylin Mujica and Lisette Morelos. The
executive producer is Aurelio Valcárcel who also produced “¿Donde
Esta Elisa?,” “Mas Sabe El Diablo,” “El Cuerpo del Deseo” and
“Alguien te Mira”.
The story is centered on Aurora Ponce de Leon (Sara Maldonado),
a beautiful young 20-year-old woman who falls madly in love with
the charming Lorenzo (Jorge Luis Pila), and both share an intense
attraction. Lorenzo already has a son named Martin and Aurora loves
him unconditionally. She becomes pregnant with Lorenzo's child, but
is separated from Lorenzo when her parents learn about the
pregnancy and send her abroad to have her baby. Lorenzo is unaware
that he is the father of the baby and believing that Aurora left
voluntarily, decides to try to get on with his life. Shortly after
the baby's birth, Aurora is diagnosed with an incurable disease.
Her father, Gustavo (Braulio Castillo), is a renowned scientist and
physician and an expert in the field of cryogenics. He decides to
freeze her body until the day that science has advanced far enough
to find a cure for her disease.
Fast forward 20 years and it’s time to unfreeze Aurora's body.
Two decades have passed and life has changed around her while she
was "sleeping." Her best friend, Natalia, is now married to
Lorenzo, Aurora’s only true love, and more incredibly, Blanca, who
does not know that she is Aurora’s daughter, looks her mother’s age
and will struggle to accept Aurora. Further complicating matters
for Aurora, she encounters the now-grown Martin, who has the same
spark and charm that she loved about Lorenzo. The question now
becomes can Aurora get accustomed to a new and completely different
life?
