              Addworth announces 30.43% stake in Early Equity Plc


Addworth Plc (AIM: ADW), the AIM 'active capital investor', announces that it
has acquired a total of 12,000,000 ordinary shares in Early Equity Plc, which
has today floated on the PLUS Market at 5 pence per share. The purchase
represents 30.43 per cent. of the issued share capital of Early Equity Plc.

The Birmingham-based Early Equity Plc has been established for the purpose of
investing in and/or acquiring businesses and companies in the Midlands region
and the North of England in the SME sector.

Addworth Plc Chairman, Mark Watson-Mitchell, commented:

"We are delighted to have participated in the establishment of Early Equity.
There are immediate cross-synergies between Early Equity and Addworth. Our
significant stake in this company will enable us to readily participate in the
numerous opportunities for investment in smaller but growing companies in the
Midlands and North of England - without having the overheads of running a
