Nestle SA said Thursday that it has appointed Bernard Meunier as head of strategic business units, marketing and sales.

The Swiss food and beverage giant said Mr. Meunier, who is currently head of Nestle Purina PetCare EMENA, would succeed Patrice Bula in the role and in the executive board as of March 1.

Mr. Bula is due to retire at the end of February, Nestle said.

Nestle also appointed David Rennie as a member of the executive board as of March 1.

Mr. Rennie is head of the Nestle coffee brands group.
