Members of the Eventbrite management team presented yesterday at
FlyCon, the Company’s annual client event that brings together the
nation’s top independent venue owners, promoters, marketers, box
office managers and talent buyers. Hosted this year in Denver,
Colorado, the two day event features industry insights and
perspectives and product announcements.
Andrew Dreskin, Eventbrite’s outgoing President of its music
division, together with Andy Donner, Eventbrite’s current Vice
President of Business Development and Corporate Development who
will be leading Eventbrite’s music team on an interim basis, opened
the conference with a keynote address, and Eventbrite’s co-founder
and CEO, Julia Hartz, hosted a fireside chat with some of
Eventbrite’s music clients.
The programming showcases all of the ways Eventbrite can help
independent live music entrepreneurs supercharge their promotions,
grow their businesses, streamline their operations and deliver
exceptional experiences for fans and artists alike. Management
discussed the following highlights:
- The team at Eventbrite has made
substantial progress in launching new features and functionality to
enable a smooth transition for Ticketfly creators moving to the
Eventbrite Music platform. For the first half of 2019, Eventbrite
is on track to release twice as many essential features for
Eventbrite Music as it did in the first half of 2018.
- The Company’s goal is that on October
1, 2019 all music tickets will be sold on the Eventbrite
platform.
- The majority of music clients have
already migrated from Ticketfly to Eventbrite and the Company
expects most of the remaining migrations to happen over the
summer.
- For creators who listed events in May
2018 on Ticketfly and in May 2019 on Eventbrite Music, those
creators sold more tickets on Eventbrite Music for May 2019 than
they sold on Ticketfly for May 2018.
- In terms of migration pace, from
January 2019 through May 2019, clients have been moving over to
Eventbrite Music at a rate of about 20 migrations per week.
- In the last 12 months, over 16 million
unique buyers purchased tickets to an event on the Eventbrite
platform that was categorized as a music event by the event’s
creator and in a concert format.
- In April 2019, almost 8 million unique
users accessed eventbrite.com through the web - this number does
not include users who accessed Eventbrite through the Company’s iOS
or Android apps, the Company’s native checkout feature or
integrations with third party partners.
