Citigroup Appoints New EMEA Head for Banking, Capital Markets, Advisory

Citigroup Inc. has appointed Ignacio Gutierrez-Orrantia, a
company veteran, as its new head overseeing corporate lending,
M&A advisory and the bank's business that helps clients raise
debt and equity across Europe, the Middle East and Africa,
according to an internal memo.
He succeeds Philip Drury, who is moving to San Francisco as
global head of technology and communications investment banking at
Citigroup.
Mr. Gutierrez-Orrantia's appointment comes as the bank focuses
on maintaining a top-three position among investment banks in the
EMEA region.
