Alabama Power Announces Planned Redemption of Senior Notes BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alabama Power Company plans to redeem all of the Company's outstanding $200,000,000 Series J 6.75% Senior Notes due June 30, 2039 (Cusip No.: 010392587) on May 26, 2004 at a redemption price equal to 100% of the principal amount ($25) plus any accrued and unpaid interest to the date of redemption. J.P. Morgan Chase Bank as trustee will notify holders of the Series J Senior Notes to be redeemed at least 30 days prior to the redemption date.
