U.S. Cellular Adding Customer Value with New Shared Connect Pricing Plans

U.S. Cellular is now offering new, streamlined Shared Connect
plans with more data and bonus value on its high-quality network
that keeps customers connected in big and small cities and rural
communities. All plans with 16GB or higher now include unlimited
calling and texting to Canada and Mexico plus data usage controls,
all at a lower price than Verizon.

president of marketing for U.S. Cellular. “Plus, our customers can
use their phones, tablets and connected devices with confidence
that they are not going to exceed their data plans. These new plans
are easy to understand, giving our customers the flexibility to
choose the right one for them, knowing they’ll be using their
device on a high-quality 4G LTE network that keeps them connected
nationwide.”
Each Shared Connect plan comes with unlimited talk and text, and
customers can change their plan at any time. The new, simplified
plans provide customers with more data to connect to the
information and entertainment they want and include:
- 2GB for $30 per month (was 1GB for
$25)
- 4GB for $45 per month (was 3GB for
$40)
- 8GB for $60 per month (was 6GB for
$55)
- 16GB for $80 per month (was 12GB for
$80)
- 24GB for $100 per month (was 15GB for
$90)
Customers who choose 16GB plans or higher receive unlimited
calling and texting to friends, family and businesses in Canada and
Mexico, and it is just $10 per month on plans 8GB and under. Plans
of 16GB and above also include data usage controls which allow
customers to limit the amount of data each line on an account can
use. This service is $4.99 on plans 8GB and under.
All smartphones on Shared Connect plans have a $20 monthly
connection charge per line, tablets are $10, and home phones,
routers and hotspots are $20. With the introduction of these
enhanced and simplified plans, consumers can now purchase a
smartphone using one of U.S. Cellular’s monthly payment options
that best meet their needs over 20, 24 or 30 months.
Customers who want take advantage of these value-packed plans
can port their number from another carrier and trade in their
device – even one with a cracked screen – and receive an unlimited
buy-out of their current contract after they submit their final
bill from that carrier.
New Retail Installment Contract, Device Protection+ and credit
approval required. A $25 Device Activation Fee applies. Unlimited
contract buy-out also requires port-in and Smartphone turn-in.
