NEW DELHI--Air India Ltd. will receive its first 787-800 Dreamliner plane from Boeing Co. (BA) Saturday, a senior executive at the national carrier said Thursday.

The delivery of the Dreamliners will come after a wait of more than four years, which resulted in a public spat between Air India and Chicago-based Boeing over compensation for the delay.

"We will get two more planes later this month," a senior Air India executive, who didn't wish to be named, told Dow Jones Newswires.

Air India ordered a total of 27 Dreamliner jets in 2005 as part of a $15 billion, 111-plane contract with Boeing and Airbus.
