BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.,
August 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/
-- As September approaches, nonprofit organizations are
getting ready for what many view as the most crucial time of year
in terms of fundraising: the period between Labor Day and New
Year's Eve, which accounts for 34 percent of all charitable
giving.
Given how vital it is to maximize this short window of
opportunity, this year the Contemporary Ceramic Studios Association
(CCSA) is encouraging nonprofit organizations to raise funds and
generate awareness by partnering with a local paint your own
pottery (PYOP) studio.
PYOP studios offer pottery painting, glass fusing, wine glass
painting and more on a walk-in basis. They are a great place for
people of all ages and artistic backgrounds — from absolute
beginners to seasoned artisans — who want to create, connect and
celebrate.
According to the CCSA, the key reasons why this partnership is a
win-win for all involved include:
- There is no risk or cost to nonprofit organizations, as PYOP
studios provide the space, materials, and trained instructors to
ensure that everyone is involved and has a positive
experience.
- PYOP studios are a family-friendly environment, and welcome
people of all ages, from young children to seniors.
- Nonprofit organizations can raise funds across multiple streams
(e.g. percentage of sales, ticket sales, auctioning/raffling
pottery and other artwork, etc.).
- Nonprofit organizations can customize a theme that aligns with
their mission, or that is tied to a specific fundraising
campaign.
- There is no risk that bad weather will disrupt planned
activities, since everything takes place indoors.
- Executive directors and other nonprofit organization staff and
volunteers will get all of the help they need to plan the perfect
event.
- Most PYOP studios are independently owned by individuals and
families with deep roots in the community.
To date, PYOP studios have partnered with many nonprofit
organizations including schools, hospitals, churches, associations,
clubs, teams, medical research organizations, animal rescue groups,
food banks, and the list goes on.
"There is immense and ongoing pressure on nonprofit
organizations to raise sufficient funds to carry out their
essential work in the community — work that is not just changing
lives, but in many cases is saving them," commented Dena Pearlman, CCSA executive director. "PYOP
studios are part of the solution, and the ideal fundraising
partner; not just this year, but every year!"
