Annual Report and Notice of Annual General Meeting

London , 29 May 2020 - Serica Energy plc (AIM: SQZ), announces that its Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2019 together with notice convening the Company's Annual General meeting ('AGM') has today been published.

   The AGM is to be held at   48 George Street, London W1U 7DY at mid-day on Thursday, 25 June 2020.

As a result of the current crisis of COVID-19 and the UK Government's restrictions the Company's AGM will be run as a closed meeting. Shareholders should therefore comply with the Government's rules by not attending the meeting in person and instead are strongly encouraged to submit their proxy vote, appointing the Chairman of the meeting as their proxy to ensure that their votes are registered.

Shareholders will not be permitted to attend the AGM in person and will be refused entry. The Company will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates as necessary.

Management intends, as usual, to give an update on the Company's performance. As shareholders are unable to attend the AGM this year the update will be by way of a pre-recorded corporate presentation uploaded to the Company's website following conclusion of the AGM, together with a Q&A section that will answer questions pre-submitted by shareholders.

Serica Energy is a British independent oil and gas exploration and production company with exploration, development and production assets in the UK and exploration interests offshore Namibia.

Serica is the operator of the producing Bruce, Keith and Rhum fields in the UK Northern North Sea, holding a 98% interest in the Bruce field, a 100% interest in the Keith field and a 50% interest in the Rhum field. .

Serica holds an 18% non-operated interest in the producing Erskine field in the UK Central North Sea and a 50% operated interest in the Columbus field for which development has been approved by the OGA and has commenced.
