    FUNDING DISCUSSIONS

    Further to the announcement by the Company of 6 November 2008 and in response to certain factually incorrect articles which have
appeared in the Brazilian press, the Company announces that it has been working together with its financial advisor, Morgan Stanley, to
continue discussions with several providers of financing and its creditors to obtain new financing or refinancing for the Company
appropriate to the current economic environment.

    Although there can be no assurance such new financing or refinancing will be obtained or on what terms it will be obtained, the Company
continues to actively consider all alternatives and will provide further updates to the market, as appropriate
