It may use derivative instruments for both to increase the return and to hedge or protect its exposure to interest rate movements. It may also invest in swap agreements. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its assets in municipal bonds exempt from U.S. federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax).
