--A Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL) jet in the process of making an emergency landing dumped fuel that landed in an elementary school playground in Los Angeles, Reuters reported Tuesday.

--The incident occurred while students were at recess, and 17 children and 9 nine were treated for minor injuries, the report said.

--Delta said the jet, which was flying to Shanghai, experienced an engine issue after takeoff and returned to Los Angeles International Airport, according to the report.
