Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) on Friday announced an extension to its facility in Little Island, Ireland, which will focus on developing advanced technologies for the analysis of live-cells in real-time.

The company said the new facility will incorporate Luxcel Biosciences, which Agilent acquired earlier this year. The addition of Luxcel expands Agilent's cell analysis portfolio and brings added capabilities through technology and research, the company said.

Agilent said the complex will house two new laboratories.
