Item 8.01 Other Events

Donald J. Amaral, who was a director of TriCo Bancshares (the “Company”), passed away on July 20, 2022. Most recently Mr. Amaral was a member of the Company’s audit, compensation and management succession, and nominating and corporate governance committees. Mr. Amaral diligently served on the Boards of Directors of the Company and its subsidiary, Tri Counties Bank, since 2003 and will be greatly missed.
