STREICHER MOBILE FUELING, INC. (NASDAQ: FUEL and FUELW) (the "Company"), a leading provider of petroleum product distribution services, transportation logistics and emergency response services to the trucking, construction, utility, energy, chemical, manufacturing and government service industries today announced that it has mobilized equipment and personnel in an immediate response to Hurricane Wilma which devastated South Florida on Monday, October 24, 2005. Richard E. Gathright, President and CEO commented, "Hurricane Wilma which swept across South Florida on Monday has disrupted the lives of millions of people and the operations of thousands of businesses across the region. Our sympathies go out to those impacted by this storm, including many of our own personnel. While Broward County and Fort Lauderdale, our corporate home, were especially hard hit by the hurricane, the Company's equipment and facilities, including our corporate offices, were not physically damaged, and we are operating at full capacity to meet the needs of our customers, and emergency service providers throughout the affected region." "We have relocated additional equipment and personnel from other Company locations to support our relief operations in South Florida which are expected to continue for many weeks. At the same time, we are continuing to support the Hurricane Katrina and Rita restoration work in Louisiana and Texas. The Company's acquisitions of Shank Services earlier this year and H & W Petroleum this month have enhanced our ability to provide storm relief and restoration support, regionally and nationally. Experienced Shank Services personnel are on the ground in South Florida with specialized fueling equipment while its heavy haul units are being used to ferry fuel tanks and other equipment to the devastated areas. H & W's transports are providing the Company additional capacity to move to South Florida fuel supplies which are not currently available from Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale." As we saw last year when four hurricanes hit various parts of Florida, and again this year with Dennis, Katrina and Rita along the Gulf Coast, our personnel have again stepped up to the challenge of keeping critical fuel deliveries moving. For 22 years, we have provided storm response services, starting in our own backyard. Whether Hurricane Andrew in 1992 or Wilma, this week, we remain committed to providing the highest level of support possible in these relief efforts while delivering to our customers the service they need and expect."
