Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA (FME.XE) said Wednesday that one of
its Spanish subsidiaries will invest around 27 million euros ($31.9
million) in the construction of a new hospital near Madrid.
The German healthcare company said its Quironsalud hospital
operator will build the new 11,000-square-meter facility, which
will hold 106 beds, in Alcala de Henares. The new hospital is
scheduled to open in 2019, it added.
The company acquired Quironsalud in September 2016 for EUR5.76
billion as part of its first expansion outside Germany.
