Summit Bank (OTCBB:SBKO) is pleased to announce that Ross Kari will be joining its Board of Directors. Ross Kari retired in 2013 as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Freddie Mac. Mr. Kari received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and his MBA in Finance from the University of Oregon. He currently serves as a trustee on the University of Oregon’s Board of Trustees.

Mr. Kari has a distinguished career in banking and finance. He spent a large portion of his career – from 1983 to 2001 – at Wells Fargo, rising from senior financial analyst to executive vice president and chief financial officer. He has also served as chief financial officer of Fifth Third Bank and Safeco and executive vice president and chief operating officer for the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. Mr. Kari also served as a director and chair of the audit committee for KKR Financial Holdings LLC – a publicly traded specialty finance company.
