Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A (“Company” or “Eletrobras”) (B3: ELET3, ELET5 & ELET6; NYSE: EBR & EBR.B; LATIBEX: XELT.O & XELT.B) informs its shareholders and the market in general that, on this date, a financial operation was completed, through which its subsidiary Centrais Elétricas do Norte do Brasil (“Eletronorte”) obtained, by means of the Bank Credit Clause signed with China Construction Bank, the amount of R$ 140,000,000.00, with interest rate of CDI + 2.00% per year and maturity of 5 (years) from the date of disbursement. The Company will become the guarantor of its subsidiary in this operation.

 

The resources obtained through this acquisition will be earmarked for cash reinforcement and will be used in the ordinary course of the subsidiary business.

 

The Company will keep the market informed of the subject matter dealt with in this Market Announcement.
