Viisage to Present and Exhibit at the Identity Summit in Dubai, Highlighting Kuwait and Bahrain Viisage Solutions for Border Management and Criminal Identification Viisage (NASDAQ: VISGE), a leading provider of advanced technology identity solutions, today announced that the Company will be presenting and demonstrating its identity solutions at the Identity Summit at the JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai on June 5-7, 2005. The Identity Summit takes a particular focus on identity solutions and applications of biometric technologies, including criminal identification and managing identity in border crossing worldwide. Recent Viisage wins in the Middle East with the Ministry of the Interior in Kuwait and the Ministry of the Interior in Bahrain will be highlighted in a Company presentation. The Identity Summit, which incorporates the Middle East Biometrics Forum, is the region's only dedicated event where recognized experts in the identity technology, systems and applications fields meet to discuss the issues, developments and future plans affecting the Middle East. Clemens von Bergmann, Viisage Director of Partner Management EMEA, will speak on "Proving Identity: Using Biometrics to Prevent Legitimate Credentials from Getting into the Wrong Hands" on Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at 11:45 a.m. The two most recent Viisage solutions in the Middle East with the Ministry of Interior in Kuwait and the Ministry of Interior in Bahrain, along with the face recognition-based solution implemented at Dubai International Airport announced in May 2003, will be highlighted as state-of-the-art solutions within an additional session on "Identity Solutions Case Studies - Biometrics, Credentials and Document Authentication", to be held during the vendor seminars on Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at 3:30 p.m. Viisage will also demonstrate its advanced identity solutions portfolio at a joint booth with its local Dubai-based partner Al Falasi Group of Companies. Both companies are partnering on the Dubai International Airport implementation. The Bahrain Ministry of Interior and Immigration Authority, selected Viisage's iA-thenticate(R) solution to validate travel documents for individuals entering the country at Bahrain Airport. Viisage received the order through its local partner, Bell id (M.E.) Ltd. At Bahrain Airport, the Viisage iA-thenticate(R) solution is deployed to improve the document inspection and border control processes by providing automatic document authentication. In Kuwait, the Ministry of the Interior deploys a Viisage criminal identification solution in four local prisons. Viisage's local partner in Kuwait, Group Five, has equipped the visitor centers of each prison with a face recognition-enabled FaceFINDER(R) solution to keep track of inmates in the prison, secure the presence of the inmates in the prison and prevent escapes. Viisage's FaceFINDER(R) is deployed to monitor the visitor center and capture images of visitors and individuals leaving the prison. These images are compared to an image database of all inmates to provide accurate and timely information on the identity of an individual leaving the visitor center. The Ministry plans to expand the program to equip new prisons that are currently under construction with a similar solution.
