Judge Says SEC Suit Against Rio Tinto May Proceed -- Reuters

-- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission may pursue a 2017
lawsuit against mining company Rio Tinto PLC, a judge ruled Monday,
Reuters reports.
-- Judge Analisa Torres of the U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York rejected a bid by the mining company
to dismiss the lawsuit against the company and two former top
executives, the report said.
-- The SEC claims the company and the executives misled
investors about the value of Mozambique coal assets obtained in an
acquisition that caused huge losses for Rio Tinto.
