Gazprom PJSC (GAZP.RS) has been fined 211 million Russian rubles
($3.4 million) by Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service, or FAS,
the country's competition watchdog said Friday.
In May 2017, FAS found that the governor of Russia's Samara
region, a ministry in the region, Gazprom and its subsidiary
Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Ltd. breached Russian law on the protection
of competition over a program for developing gas supply in Samara,
the competition body said.
The company disagreed with the decision and appealed, but a
court of the first instance and appeal upheld FAS's decision, the
competition body said.
Gazprom Mezhregiongaz was fined RUB412,000, FAS said.
