Pound Climbs After U.K. Retail Sales

Following the release of U.K. retail sales data for May at 4.30
am ET Thursday, the pound advanced against its major
counterparts.
The pound was trading at 1.3435 against the greenback, 147.76
against the yen, 1.3206 against the franc and 0.8802 against the
euro around 4:32 am ET.
