Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) said Tuesday that its revenue rose for the first nine months of the year helped by growth in its generation-and-supply activities in France.

The energy company's overall revenue in the January-to-September period was up 7.2% to 49.6 billion euros ($56 billion), compared with EUR46.2 billion last year, EDF said. On an organic basis, growth was 5.3%, EDF said.

The France generation-and-supply activities segment grew 6.0% to EUR19 billion in the period, the French state-controlled power utility said.

The company confirmed its 2018 targets.
