Centrica Appoints Richard Hookway as CEO of Centrica Business Unit

British Gas owner Centrica PLC (CNA.LN) said Friday that it has
appointed Richard Hookway as the next chief executive of its unit
for business customers.
Mr. Hookway's appointment as CEO of Centrica Business will take
effect on Dec. 1, replacing Mark Hanafin. Mr. Hookway will join
Centrica and its executive committee on Nov. 1, in order to prepare
the handover.
Mr. Hookway previously spent 35 years at oil giant BP PLC
(BP.LN), most recently as chief operating officer for global
business services and IT.
Centrica Business includes the business-facing operations of
British Gas and North American brand Direct Energy, as well as the
company's distributed energy-and-power, energy marketing and
trading, and central-power generation businesses.
