LONDON--ECR Minerals PLC (ECR.LN) Tuesday said it obtained high
grade assay results from channel sampling work at its SLM gold
project in Argentina.
Results included 66.4 grammes per tonne of gold over 0.67
meters, 27.80 grammes per tonne gold over 1.20 meters, and 27.00
grammes per tonne over 0.50 meters.
Rock chip sampling within the trenches returned assay results up
to 30.60 grammes per tonne, ECR said.
ECR also reported that following a site visit with experts, it
now wants to do two to three months of preliminary sampling work
before considering a drilling program that could encompass all
three prospects on the project.
Dick Watts, formerly a non-executive, is to assume an executive
role as Technical Director.
At 1419 GMT in London, shares were up around 2%.
