EDS' Board of Directors Elects Anthony Glasby as Corporate Treasurer

PLANO, Texas, Oct. 19 -- EDS (NYSE: EDS) today announced that its board of
directors has elected Anthony Glasby as vice president and treasurer. Glasby
replaces Ron Vargo, who was recently named executive vice president and chief
financial officer for EDS.
In his new position, Glasby is responsible for all domestic and
international treasury activities including pension management, corporate
investments, risk management and insurance.
"Tony brings a wealth of experience to this position," said Vargo. "His
international and corporate treasury experience, along with his strong
leadership skills, will serve him well as the head of EDS' global treasury
operations. We are pleased to have Tony join our senior leadership team."
Since joining EDS in the United Kingdom in 1987, Glasby has held
progressively responsible positions within the corporate treasurer and
controller organizations. Most recently, he served as assistant treasurer of
EDS, with responsibility for the company's corporate finance, structured
finance, capital planning and financial risk management.
Prior to joining EDS, Glasby held various finance and treasury positions
with Reed International PLC, a UK-based multinational with global operations
in the paper, publishing, paint and home improvement industries.
Glasby has been a featured speaker at industry conventions and bank-
sponsored events and has published articles on a variety of treasury-related
