I beg to differ. I read message boards and get information for some pretty high flying stocks on IHUB. Looks like your trying to put down investors investment here. Folks here are pretty battle hardened. Good luck with that. No need to reply. EOM

Mainline NYSE and NASDAQ stock boards are dead here. Only growth I see is in crypto and there's not much activity in that. Everyone knows penny stocks are junk and there's virtually no "fresh meat" arriving, especially after the meme craze ended. Most of the Kids who bought meme stocks are cleaned out.

IHUB's in trouble .

IHUB is also home for top NASDAQ and NYSE stocks. Don't recommend you invest in NioCorp because you think the stock will go nowhere. Its an unpredictable investment which has spiked in the past on good news and is in the middle of negotiations for financing which if secured will drive the share price upwards. Now would not be the best time to invest if your hoping for the share price to plunge. Best wait until after 6 months to see what happens with financing. Just my opinion.

I often say, "I Collect Atrocious Stocks." The slinkier the better. It's been a hobby of mine since the late 90s and the birth of the internet. My own investing goes back much farther than that. I bought my first stock at age 19... long, long ago.

IHUB is the motherlode for stinky stocks.

There are message boards for almost any NYSE, NASDAQ and OTC stocks on IHUB. If NioCorp is not your cup of tea that's OK. Most NioCorp investors are pretty well informed on this board re what they are invested in (risks/rewards) and what other securities are available to them outside of investing in NioCorp.

He mentioned the OTC. Personally I only own NYSE and top-tier NASDAQ stocks and with market caps over about $!0 billion. Exchange listed large cap stocks have far outperformed smaller cap stocks and especially penny stocks in recent years. There's a reason IHUB has gone so dead in recent years.

How Is OTC Markets Different From Exchanges?

Spencer Israel
February 10, 2021·4 min read
In this article:

The universe of public companies open to U.S. investors is a lot larger than most people realize.

There are nearly 18,000 securities available in the U.S. Over 11,000 of these trade on OTC Markets, while the rest trade on national exchanges like NYSE and Nasdaq.

For many retail investors, the experience of using their brokerage to trade an exchange-listed security may not be all that different than trading a security on OTC Markets but there are some key differences in how the markets function.

The Structure Of OTC Markets

OTC Markets is divided into three main markets— OTCQX, OTCQB, and Pink—with each tier having different standards. The goal, according to OTC Markets Group, is to create more efficient markets by organizing securities “based on the quality and quantity of information companies disclose.”

OTCQX, the highest tier, is home to the largest companies like Meritage Hospitality Group, Inc. (OTCQX: MHGU). Many of these companies also have a primary market in another country (such as Roche Holdings (OTCQX: RHHBY) and Adidas (OTCQX: ADDYY)). It’s also where a lot of community banks trade, like Coastal Carolina Bancshares Inc (OTCQX: CCNB) and Lyons Bancorp, Inc. (OTCQX: LYBC).

OTCQB, the middle tier, is where smaller, emerging companies trade, such as Nextech AR Solutions (OTCQB: NEXCF).

The Pink Market is an “Open Market,” where any company, from large-caps like Nestle (Pink: NSRGY). to a reorganizing JC Penney (Pink: JCPNQ), can trade.

Who Participates In The OTC Markets?

Securities on OTC Markets can be bought and sold by any investor, from large institutions to individual retail investors through a registered broker-dealer. Investors and broker-dealers are amongst a few key groups that are a part of the market.

COMPANIES

There are over 11,000 securities traded on the various tiers of OTC Markets.

Many of these securities are ADRs for major international institutions like BNP Paribas (OTCQX: BNPQF) and AXA (OTCQX: AXAHY). These companies are primarily traded in their home countries, but have ADRs that trade on OTC Markets to give U.S. investors better access and diversify their shareholder base.

Many companies with securities on OTC Markets fall into a number of common industries. This includes community banks like Bank of San Francisco (OTCQX: BSFO), and metals and mining companies like Standard Lithium (OTCQX: STLHF) and Impala Platinum (OTCQX: IMPUY).

OTC Markets also serves as a home for many innovative industries that fall outside the established guidelines of a national exchange. This includes the cannabis industry which is well-represented. Because U.S. cannabis operators are unable to list on an exchange while cannabis is classified as a Schedule I drug, many have their securities traded on OTC Markets. Other innovative industries like crypto can be found as well. Grayscale’s portfolio of products, including the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (OTCQX: GBTC) and Grayscale Ethereum Trust (OTCQX: ETHE) trade on the OTCQX Market.

BROKER-DEALERS

Unlike exchanges, which match buyers and sellers through a number of centralized locations, OTC Markets consists of a network of over 90 broker-dealers who trade directly with one another. These are the same broker-dealers that also trade exchange listed securities.

Investors can place orders through these broker-dealers, who can either fill the order themselves or connect with other broker-dealers through an alternative trading system such as OTC Link. This system allows broker-dealers to communicate, negotiate trades on behalf of clients, and post quotes to the public. Orders can also be placed through OTC Link ECN, which combines the Broker-Dealer network model with the anonymity of traditional markets.

The aggregate bids and asks posted by different broker-dealers for a given security are then consolidated to define the market for that security.

REGULATORS

In addition to the qualifying standards placed by OTC Markets for the OTCQX and OTCQB markets, there is also federal regulation of OTC Market participants.

All broker-dealers are regulated by FINRA. These regulations include rules that, among other things, require a broker-dealer to get the best possible price for a customer when executing an order and prohibit them from front-running customer orders.

Some securities that trade on OTC Markets are also “SEC reporting” meaning they are registered with and regulated by the SEC. Both organizations also regulate the OTC Link trading system.

When trading a security on OTC Markets, it’s important to understand how the market’s different players interact with each other. Each participant contributes to the liquidity and efficiency of the market and can affect how, when, or if your buy or sell order gets executed.

SEC: "Outcomes of Investing in OTC Stocks"

"This paper analyzes three aspects of over-the-counter (OTC) stocks: (1) the recent trends in the OTC stock market structure and size; (2) the documented properties of OTC stocks; and (3) the differences in returns based on investor and stock characteristics. Approximately 10,000 OTC stocks were quoted at the end of 2013 through 2015, generating a total trading volume of over $200 billion per year. Dollar volume has grown substantially since 2012 and is now concentrated in the segment of the OTC market with no requirements of registration or reporting to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). A synthesis of recent academic literature reveals troubling properties of OTC stocks. "

"Academic studies find that OTC stocks tend to be highly illiquid; are frequent targets of alleged market manipulation; generate negative and volatile investment returns on average; and rarely grow into a large company or transition to listing on a stock exchange. Moreover, these properties tend to worsen when the OTC company has fewer disclosure-related eligibility requirements."

"Analysis of 1.8 million trades by over 200,000 individual investors confirms that the typical OTC investment return is severely negative. Investor outcomes worsen for OTC stocks that experience a promotional campaign or have weaker disclosure-related eligibility requirements. Demographic analysis reveals that older, retired, low-income, and less educated investors experience significantly poorer outcomes in OTC stock markets. Given that retail investors are the predominant owners of OTC stocks, and the documented trend towards less transparent OTC companies, the results of this study have important implications for investor protection."

At this point, I don’t care anymore whether NioCorp gets financed by EXIM or Stellantis. Not worth the angst and besides nothing written on this board will influence whether NioCorp gets financed by EXIM and Stellantis. I am sure mgt has read my posts and knows I/We expect them to move quickly and just get the contracts done. Get an answer from EXIM if they need a revised FS or not asap. If they need it, then raise the money to finish the revised FS. If they don’t need a revised FS, then get the contracts signed!

Aside from that, keep up the comedy NCT. It’s keeping everyone sane through this ridiculous wait for news!

Without diversification I am doing fine on LWLG and here on NB / NIOBW. My other major investment is residential properties which provide cash flows.

Everything you wanted to know about Circuit Breaker Trading Halts, but were afraid to ask!

This could help

An IIROC Trading halt was trigger by the events of the day!,
If the exact same or exact opposite trading events were to occur,(up/down) then it would get the same scrutiny. But that didn't happen!

They didn't feel compelled. They were compelled!
I remember a few years ago that management felt compelled to comment on a sudden increase in the share price, stating that there had been no disclosed insider information that would have justified this increase in share price.
According to this logic, shouldn't such PR be appropriate now when the price has moved very much in the wrong direction within a very short period of time?

I sincerely hope that you are right and that at least the six months are adhered to. If enough financial resources are not found by then to at least complete the FS - which of course also has to have extremely positive forecasts - the sad alternative would probably be bankruptcy.

I'll now enter the following dates into my calendar based on your estimates:
- April 24th FS updated / EXIM / Stellantis deal secured?
- May 24th FS updated / EXIM / Stellantis deal secured?
- August 24th Ultimate announcement of Ground breaking (if not, then doomsday as mentioned above)!

In any case, the current development of the share price does not encourage us to look positively into the future. Nothing changes your exaggerated joy about the paltry 2% increase on the last trading day of the week, after we fell by a significant double-digit percentage overall last week!
Let's hope that you are right and that an upward trend will be established next week that deserves to be called an upward trend.
Unfortunately, without news from management, I'm afraid that won't happen.
I remember a few years ago that management felt compelled to comment on a sudden increase in the share price, stating that there had been no disclosed insider information that would have justified this increase in share price.

By this I mean, for example, an update on the EXIM homepage if the status of our application has changed or something new from Stellantis, but not advertising events in Antwerp (aren't those also subject to a fee?), where only non-binding, forward-looking statements are made .

The_Gman The_Gman 23 hours ago
Exclusively my opinion…I think the reason is that there’s no money to finish it. Seriously. I may be talking out of turn here, but I’m guessing that they anticipated that the money to finish the new feasibility study would come from the merger. It did not, and now they are searching for alternatives. I think some of the alternatives are somewhat contingent on other things falling into place.

I do find it compelling that the NDAA includes specific language authorizing DoD to pay, at least in part, for feasibility studies. It even states that it can be for the purpose of securing funding approval (108282). That doesn’t happen accidentally. There is also language allowing “advance procurement” (108283). The govt can’t generally pay for things it hasn’t received. That’s apparently no longer the case when it comes to the stockpile and critical minerals. Couple that with the fact that the stockpile manager “shall” take the various steps to replenish the stockpile (108282) and all of a sudden the picture becomes clearer and the possible benefit to Niocorp more in focus. Language that gets inserted into legislation often comes from lobbying. I am fairly confident that Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer and Congressman Don Bacon didn’t come up with the words "Aluminum-Scandium Master Alloy Production" all by themselves for a $10 million earmark. Did MS anticipate a hiccup and do more on the DC trips than visit museums and check out Cherry Blossoms? I think all the appropriate authorizations are in place to cover at least a substantial portion of what Niocorp needs. I could be wrong. I hope I’m not.

I find it compelling that the DoD is actively and openly throwing large sums of money at domestic/friendly critical mineral production, and the urgency is at every level of government. The NDAA says it's our policy to go after all this (108284). Great emphasis is placed on the potential for cataclysmic shortages due to a failure to strengthen supply chains and procure stable sources

I do differ with you over the idea that an “updated” FS is an “absolute” requirement given that EXIM expressed an interest without it. There is a “current” FS in place and lots of government data on the availability of Niobium, Scandium, and Titanium. Each of those is its own critical mineral and I think even “absolutes” are fungible with this administration as long as they can claim “victory.” Prices swing. I don’t think the gov’t is at a place where it’s overly concerned about prices. It needs domestic sources. Any new info regarding the feasibility of magnetic rare earths is icing on the cake. Again, just my opinion.

Obviously, time will tell, but I think the time of telling is drawing nigh. While the budget snafu is not helping, I don’t think it impacts EXIM and none of that can be placed at the feet of Niocorp. I do think that a full year continuing resolution could potentially be problematic.

The truth is that all we know right now is that everything is still in play and, if we’re lucky, play will be commencing soon with a huge home team advantage. There's a huge opportunity here in both the short and long terms if the funding materializes. As I've said before, better odds than a slot machine. GLTA!

But you seriously have to question why the fs is so late. It’s just an update from previous fs. Is it a turd? Have the consultants had enough of bs pressure to accept bs input values and want to preserve a molecule of credibility? Or have they just not been paid? This deal is just a turd is the only rational explanation.

Look at the bright side. Everything is in play until it’s not. As far as we know, no door has closed and we are now officially one week closer to some news.

Ideally in the next 6 months. 2-3 months would be outstanding. Next 60 days would be the very best!

NCT, nowadays persons just made it to top 1% I don’t think they could afford the luxury of private yacht. Money has lost its value since Nixon removed gold as the backing of dollars.

"sometime soon" can be 'loosely' defined as-

- In the upcoming weeks or
- As early as possible in 2024 or
- It is 'immi-nent'

What's your hurry? you 'get rich quick' money grubbing, 1% capitalist pig!! stand in line and take your beating like the rest of us!! lol If you wanted 'easy money' you should have gone with one (or more) of the 'Magic 7' S&P 500 stocks!! then you would probly be logging onto this MB from an island (or yacht) in the Carribean, and drinking foo foo umbrella drinks and pissing off the side of that yacht.......

Yadddda- freakin' Ya-ddddaaaaaa
