| (1) | The reporting person redeemed 350,000 Class A units of American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. ("Class A units") of which the issuer is the general partner. Class A units are redeemable for an equal number of shares of the issuer's Class A common shares or at the election of the issuer, cash equal to the fair market of such shares. The issuer elected to redeem the reporting person's units with Class A common shares. Class A Units do not have expiration dates. |
