NEW YORK, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The NAACP and the Verizon Foundation will unveil on Tuesday (Feb. 16) a multimedia Web site featuring the story of the civil rights organization and the first interactive timeline of black history. The event, which will begin at 3 p.m. EST, includes a virtual webinar, tour of the Web site, and a question-and-answer session with NAACP leaders and historians, and Verizon Foundation leaders. The Web site, the NAACP Interactive Historical Timeline, is funded through a $500,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation and is being launched in conjunction with Black History Month, which is observed in February.
