LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- The Council of Schools and Services for the Blind (COSB) has bestowed their highest honor, the Champion Award, to Braille Institute in recognition of their positive and significant impact nationally with youth who are blind or visually impaired (BVI).

Braille Institute's youth and child development services provide programs and services, completely free of charge, to families with children who are blind or visually impaired from birth to 18 years of age. For more than 20 years, they have highlighted the importance of braille literacy through their highly recognized Braille Challenge program which encourages students from across the U.S., Canada and the U.K. to showcase their braille literacy skills. Braille Institute's Cane Quest program encourages student to build their orientation and mobility skills, another important life skill.
