Harbin Electric Co. (1133.HK) has agreed to set up a 50:50 joint venture with General Electric (China) Co. to manufacture gas turbines and related components and spare parts.

The Hong Kong-listed company said late Tuesday that the total registered capital of General Harbin Electric (Qinhuangdao) Gas Turbine Co. is 667 million yuan ($96.4 million).
