The New Website Also Offers Code Documents, Product Literature, and Installation Guides

MiTek today announced that it has launched a new website to feature its Hardy Frame® product brands. Found at www.HardyFrame.com, the new site categorically presents numerous product brands, including the Hardy Frame Shear Wall System, the Hardy Frame Special Moment Frame, and the Z4 Tie-Down System. Within the webpages for each product brand, website visitors can obtain general product information, installation details, catalogs, and even product-specific code reports. The new website design minimizes drop-down menus, allowing visitors to easily navigate from a top-bar menu instead. The new site has also been optimized for mobile phones and tablets, as well as for PCs.

The Hardy Frame brands featured on the site include:

  • The Hardy Frame Shear Wall System is available in widths of 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 and 24 inches, and in heights up to 20 feet. All panels have been evaluated per the ICC Evaluation Service Acceptance Criteria AC322 to meet the 2006 2009 and 2012 IBC Codes as well as the 2009 and 2012 IRC Code. The evaluation includes installation on Foundations, Raised Floor and Upper Floor Systems as well as various supporting surfaces.
  • Hardy Frame Brace Frames are available in widths of 32 and 44 inches and in heights up to 13 feet. All Brace Frames have been evaluated per the ICC Evaluation Service Acceptance Criteria AC322 to meet the 2006, 2009 and 2012 IBC Code as well as the 2009 and 2012 IRC Code. The evaluation includes installation on Foundations, Concrete, Raised Floor and Upper Floor Systems as well as on various supporting surfaces.
  • Hardy Frame Special Moment Frames are available in standard column widths of 9, 12 and 18 inches and standard heights up to 20 feet. Two story applications are also available upon request. Special Moment Frames use the SidePlate connection, which is approved by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) for inclusion in AISC 358 Prequalified Moment Connection Standard.
  • The Z4 Tie-Down System is used in multi-story buildings to transfer uplift tension forces that result from earthquake and wind loading to the foundation. The CNX Cinch Nut allows for easy, fast, and dependable one-step installation. Z4 Tie-Down Runs are engineered for maximum material and labor efficiency to provide the most economical system in the industry.

“All the Hardy Frame and Z4 Tie-Down System brands are experiencing strong growth, as well as an expansion of the geographic areas where our products are specified and installed,” said David Lopp, Vice President, Hardy Frame Technical & Customer Services. “We have redesigned the new Hardy Frame website to allow fast access to code-compliance information and a full complement of product literature and installation guidelines.”
