School district selects Tyler’s Infinite
Visions suite to move toward paperless processes
Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement
with Alaska’s Kodiak Island Borough School District (KIBSD) for its
Infinite Visions® financial and personnel school solution. The
agreement includes software licenses, professional services,
training and support.
The district utilized the existing National Joint Powers
Alliance (NJPA) contract in procuring Infinite Visions. After a
thorough review of the software modules available through NJPA,
KIBSD selected nearly the entire Infinite Visions suite, including
payroll, accounts payable, general ledger and human resources, with
the goal of enhancing data analysis and increasing efficiencies by
reducing paper processes.
“We have been wanting to go as paperless as possible for quite a
while, which I think is similar for most school districts, and
after seeing an Infinite Visions demo we knew this was the software
that would help us achieve our goals,” said KIBSD Chief Financial
Officer Roger Studley. “We’re excited to use a solution with
integrated functionality that will eliminate many of our manual
processes.”
Infinite Visions is specifically designed for schools and
municipalities as a fully integrated solution for financial and
personnel management. It offers drill-down data capabilities,
customized data sorting, and delivers the power of its solutions to
employee desktops, supporting multi-user access for all
applications.
“Tyler’s Infinite Visions, used in more than 1,050 school
districts, was designed to help K-12 school districts overcome
unique business challenges, such as complex payroll requirements
and accounts payable processes,” said Brett Cate, president of
Tyler’s Local Government Division. “Tyler is dedicated to designing
and supporting solutions for schools, and our evergreen perpetual
license philosophy ensures that our clients have access to the
latest product developments and features without having to pay for
expensive upgrades.”
KIBSD is located on Alaska’s largest island. Kodiak Island is
the second-largest island in the U.S. behind the big island of
Hawaii. The island has one city, Kodiak, with four elementary
schools, one middle school, one high school and one alternative
learning center. The district has seven other rural K-12 schools
accessible only by boat or small plane. KIBSD has approximately
2,500 students and 400 full-time employees.
