VAN DIEMAN MINES PLC (the "Company") 
 
 
Update on the Administration of Van Dieman Mines Pty Ltd 
 
 
Further to the announcement of 27 February 2009, the administrator, Paul Cook & 
Associates, has advised the Company that the report to the creditors of Van 
Dieman Mines Pty Ltd ('VDM Pty') was issued on 26 June 2009 and that the second 
meeting of creditors has been convened for 7 July 2009 in Launceston, Tasmania, 
Australia. 
 
 
The Company will make a further announcement as required following this meeting. 
 
 
Annual Report and Accounts 
 
 
The Company also announces that it will not be in a position to post its Annual 
Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2008 to shareholders by close 
of business on 30 June 2009.
