    ANZON ENERGY LIMITED (CODE: AEL)
    INDEPENDENT EXPERT REVIEWS FINANCIAL RESULTS
    Anzon Energy Limited ("AEL") advises that Deloitte Corporate Finance Pty Limited ("Deloitte") has reviewed the financial results for the
six months ended 30 June 2008 of AEL and of Roc Oil Company Limited ("ROC"), released on 29 August 2008 and 26 August 2008 respectively.  
    Following this review, Deloitte has confirmed that these results have not affected its conclusion that the proposed merger between AEL
and ROC, to be implemented by scheme of arrangement between AEL and its shareholders, is fair and reasonable and therefore in the best
interests of the shareholders of AEL.
    In making this confirmation, Deloitte has not reviewed any other additional information nor has it updated its letter to the AEL Board
dated 25 August 2008 and its report contained in Section 18 of the Scheme Booklet dated 30 July 2008 in relation to the scheme of
arrangement, both of which have been dispatched to the shareholders of AEL.
